#Geometric shapes & #retrofuturistic aesthetic: BU wood handbags

Anya Bumagina was born in Russia and studied advertising and marketing in London where she worked for her own real estate company. With a great passion for design, she often created her own clothes but never dared to believe that this could become anything more than a hobby

In 2011 she realized that her profession was not allowing her to express her potential and creativity, so she decided the right moment had come to endeavor on a new adventure

For some time she had been searching for a specific handbag, an object that would embody her true personality and complement her unique style. Unable to find it, she decided to create the ideal bag on her own. Thus, the idea of the BU wood collection was born

Anya moved to Italy in 2012 where she collaborated with skilled craftsmen in order to create her first handbag collection inspired by briefcases and trunks traditionally made in wood during the ‘60s

The vision for the collection was inspired by shapes and forms of vanity cases, jewelry boxes, hatboxes – geometric shapes with symmetry

Love them!
